Over the years a band of Supporters have braved the elements and blisters to raise valuable funds towards the upkeep of their favorite club.
The first walk was an overnight trip to Chorley on the eve of a FA Cup game. The next was another overnight treck to Witton Albion. Upon the reforming of the Supporters Club the group decided to hold an annual event to take in all SIX non league clubs in Tameside.
The Images on this page show these masocists on their adventures and thankfully no images of the hideous blisters and sores they got for their hard earned cash.

As you can see from these images how joy turns to pain the further into the walk you are. The hair goes a little greyer and thinner as well as a suprisingly high weight gain. Its with thanks to the early pioneers of the sponsored walk that they are well supported and enjoyed by those taking part.
